Commodore Gaming came out with UK pricing for their Cxx and Cgx gaming systems. Pick the Cxx, and it's supposedly 2,900 quid.
That's a little over $5,800 US, according to Google's Calculator. And that's alot of money.
So, onto my favorite game, pricing hardware cheaply. Back to Newegg for these specs which come from their website:
I saved around $1,600 US by building it myself.
Commodore Gaming's not going to sell alot of systems, I'll tell you.

So, onto my favorite game, pricing hardware cheaply. Back to Newegg for these specs which come from their website:
- Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 2.66 GHz 8M cache
- ASUS P5N32E Nforce 680i SLI
- One 500GB 7.2K RPM SATA
- 4Gig Corsair Dominator 2xTwin2x2048-8500C5D 1066Mhz
- Phillips DVDRW
- 1000W ICE Cube PSU
- Creative Soundblaster X-Fi
- Two Nvidia 8800 GTX 768MB SLI
- Vista Ultimate
- Instead of RAID using two 150GB drives spinning at 10K RPM, I went with option #2, and grabbed a Western Digital 500GB 7.2K RPM drive.
- The NVidia cards are made by PNY
- The Philips DVD Burner they had was out of stock. Instead, $550 more gives you a Blu-ray burner.
- The Soundblaster X-Fi is the low-end version.
- The power supply used wasn't there, so I chose a similara BFG Tech 1KW supply.
- The Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 came with a gift of Supreme Commander OEM
- Windows Vista Ultimate is the 32-bit version OEM.
I saved around $1,600 US by building it myself.
